Whether it’s a members’ price, a family rate or a voucher code for volunteers, discounts let one payment group serve everyone fairly without you creating separate versions of anything.
Setting up discounts
-
Open the payment group’s settings and go to the Discounts tab.
-
Choose the shape of the discount: a fixed amount off, or a percentage.
-
Build the criteria for who gets it and what it applies to, based on who the person is and what they’re booking. That’s how a members’ rate or a family discount works without anyone typing a code.
-
For discounts people redeem themselves, create a discount or voucher code to share with the right people.
-
Codes and discounts apply at the checkout stage, after choices are picked and before payment.
Good to know
-
The criteria are genuinely flexible, and the fastest way to get exactly what you want is to build it in a test payment group and try a booking. If a discount is being stubborn, raise a ticket via the contact form below and our UK team will be happy to help you set it up.
-
Discounts work with whatever prices you’ve set on the Delegate choices tab, so get the full prices right first and discount second.
-
Early-bird or time-limited pricing isn’t done with discounts, because discounts are based on who’s booking, not the date they book. To set a price that changes on a date, see how to set up early-bird or time-limited pricing.
-
Donation-type groups don’t show the Discounts tab at all; it’s hidden because discounting a gift makes no sense, which is rather the system’s way of agreeing with you.
