How to remove a mailbox

When a mailbox is no longer needed, your church’s postmaster can remove it through the mail admin panel. It only takes a moment, which is exactly why it’s worth reading the warning first. If you’d rather we did it, raise a ticket and we’ll handle it.

Removing a mailbox

Read this before you delete

Deleting a mailbox deletes everything in it: every email, sent message and folder goes with it, and the address stops receiving mail. Before you delete, make sure anything worth keeping has been saved or forwarded somewhere else, and that nothing important still arrives at that address. If a person is leaving but their emails matter to the church, consider changing the password instead and keeping the mailbox for a while.

  1. Go to mailadmin.hubb.digital and log in as your postmaster: the username is postmaster@yourdomain. If you can’t remember the password, use the ‘Forgotten password?’ option.
  2. Click the option dots to the right of the mailbox you want to remove.
  3. Click ‘Delete’.
  4. Confirm the deletion in the pop-up box.

Good to know

  • Mailboxes are charged on your monthly invoice, so removing ones that aren’t used any more keeps your costs tidy.
  • If you’re removing a person’s mailbox as part of them moving on, remember to update anywhere their address appears, like your website’s contact page.
  • Adding a replacement is covered in How to add a new mailbox.
