How to add a new mailbox

New member of staff, or a new shared address like youth@? Your church’s postmaster can add a mailbox in a few minutes through the mail admin panel. And if you’d rather we did it, just raise a ticket and we’ll take care of it for you.

Adding a new mailbox

New mailboxes are charged for

Each mailbox you add is charged to your church’s monthly Hubb invoice, with the price depending on the account size you choose. Current prices are at hubb.church/emails. The postmaster account itself is free; it exists purely to manage your mailboxes.

  1. Go to mailadmin.hubb.digital and log in as your postmaster: the username is postmaster@yourdomain, and the password was sent to you when your email hosting was set up. Forgotten it? Use the ‘Forgotten password?’ option, or contact us.
  2. Click ‘+ Email account’.
  3. Complete the details for the new account. We suggest using ‘Generate random password’ and clicking ‘Copy’, then making a note of the password to send to the new user.
  4. Click ‘Continue’ to reach Account Services. Choose the account size (8GB or 25GB; this sets the price), leave the other options switched on, and click ‘Continue’.
  5. On Account Security, leave the details as they are, but do tick ‘Force password change on first login’ so the new user sets their own password straight away. Click ‘Continue’.
  6. On Account Options, leave everything as it is and click ‘Create’.
  7. Finally, send the new user their login details at their personal email address. Feel free to copy the template below and fill in their name, email address and password.

A welcome email you can copy

Hi [name],

We’ve created your new church mailbox:

Email address: [email address]
Password: [password]

Go to webmail.hubb.digital and log in with your email address and this password. The first time you log in, you’ll be asked to change the password to something of your own.

If you’d like your new email on your computer or phone, our email hosting guides will help.

Many thanks

Good to know

  • Send the password to the person’s own email address or hand it over in person; the forced password change on first login means it stops working for anyone else straight away.
  • Not sure whether a new person needs their own mailbox or could share an existing one like office@? A shared mailbox costs nothing extra and works well for roles rather than people.
