More than 170 updates

Some of these changes are easy to see. Others sit quietly behind the scenes. Together, they help make Hubb faster, safer, clearer and easier to use.

Churches rely on Hubb for many important parts of church life. You use it to update your website, send emails, manage people, organise events, take bookings, share sermons, process giving and keep everything moving.

Here are some of the improvements we have been working on, and what they mean for churches.

Faster for busy churches

As churches add more events, sermons, groups, articles, members and media, Hubb needs to keep running smoothly.

We have made a number of improvements to help larger and busier sites perform better. This includes work on calendars, groups, media, comments, membership updates and other areas where churches often build up lots of information over time. The aim is to keep Hubb feeling quick and reliable as your church site grows.

Safer behind the scenes

Good security is often invisible but requires continual improvement to provide defence against the latest threats. The good news is that we worry about all of that for the Hubb platform, so you don't have to!

Over the last few weeks, we have added more protection against spam, suspicious links, awkward redirects and common automated attacks. We have also improved checks around public forms, search, user data and finance-related information. These updates help protect the platform and keep church information safer.

Better payments, bookings and giving

Many churches use Hubb for event bookings, online payments, giving and finance reports. These areas need to be dependable, because even a small issue can create extra work for church staff and volunteers.

We have made improvements to payment handling, booking limits, Stripe updates, finance reports and payment imports. This gives churches more confidence when people book places, give online, pay for events or when finance teams need to review the details.

Easier church admin

Church admin is often made up of lots of small but important jobs.

We have improved several areas that support this day-to-day work. That includes clearer permissions, better user profile information, improved check-in reports, smoother user management and better checks when importing data.

We have also improved how sensitive information is handled, including better support for recording when a member has died. That kind of detail matters, because Hubb is used by real churches, caring for real people.

A better mailing > 'Messaging' experience

Church communication is a big part of Hubb, so we have continued improving the mailing tools.

We are also testing a new visual email editor, designed to make it easier to create clear, attractive church emails and newsletters. Alongside this, we have made improvements to the email writing window, clearer warnings and better checks to help avoid sending an empty email by mistake.

Some of this work is already helping the current mailing tools, and some is being tested carefully before wider release. The aim is to help churches communicate well without making the process feel complicated.

Helpful improvements to media, events and content

We have also made useful improvements to media, events and content.

This includes better support for certain video links, improvements to media display, cleaner event handling, better search behaviour, clearer messages and fixes to small layout issues.

The small things add up

A clearer button. A better warning. A smoother form. A page that loads faster. A report that works more neatly. An email tool that feels easier to use.

Individually, some updates may seem small. Together, they help Hubb feel more polished, reliable and considered.

Always improving

Hubb is used by churches of all shapes and sizes, from smaller congregations to larger churches and Christian organisations. That means we need to keep improving it carefully and steadily.

Over the last few weeks, the sheer number of updates has been significant. But more important than the number is the reason behind them.

We want Hubb to be a platform churches can trust. A place where your website, app, admin, communication and giving tools work together. A system that saves time, reduces duplication and helps churches focus more on people and mission.

We are really pleased with the progress made, and we will keep working to make Hubb even better.
