How to take an item off sale (and put it back)

Items don’t have to leave your shop forever. The visibility control lets you take anything off sale in one click and bring it back just as quickly, which is perfect for sold-out stock, seasonal items and things you’re still setting up.

Changing an item’s visibility

1. Log in to your web office and click the shop icon.
2. Choose the category the item lives in and open its list of items.
3. Find the visibility control next to the item. It has three states: a thumbs up means the item is on sale to everyone; a thumbs up with a small figure means only logged-in visitors can see it; a thumbs down means it’s off sale.
4. Click to set the state you want. The live shop updates straight away.

Good to know

• Off sale isn’t deleted. The item keeps its descriptions, price, images and offers, so you can bring it back next season exactly as it was.
• The logged-in-only state is a handy testing trick: set up a new item, check it looks right on the live shop while logged in, then open it to everyone. Just remember any logged-in member can see it in the meantime.
• New items are on sale from the moment they’re created, so this control is the first thing to reach for if you saved one before it was ready.
