Every completed registration triggers confirmation emails, and if you’re running a bigger event, those emails can carry e-tickets with barcodes ready for scanning at the door. Both are worth setting up before the first real booking arrives.
Confirmation emails
-
Open the payment group’s settings and find the confirmation emails section. With auto-approved registrations there are two: one for the booker with the whole booking’s information, and one for each delegate with their personal details.
-
If your group requires approval, additional email variants appear for the received-but-not-yet-approved stage, and you can choose whether the booker and delegates get those.
-
The parts most worth changing are the from name and the subject line. If you edit the body, keep the registration options merge fields in place: they’re what fills in the actual booking details, and an email without them tells people nothing.
E-tickets
-
To send tickets, add the ticket merge fields to your confirmation email: the e-ticket number, the e-ticket barcode, and a link to a printable ticket.
-
Then build the ticket itself on the Tickets tab: upload a letterhead or ticket template, set the area the booking details should keep clear of, and choose which fields appear on the ticket.
-
The barcode earns its place at the door: it can be scanned to check people in as they arrive.
Good to know
-
Send yourself a test registration and read the emails on your phone; that’s how most of your congregation will see them.
-
If you’d like a nicer-looking HTML email than the default, raise a ticket via the contact form below and our UK team will happily help you get one that works well on all devices.
-
Keep the on-screen confirmation text short and put the detail in the group’s introductory text instead, as covered in how to set up a payment group.
