A busy calendar is easier to read at a glance when different kinds of event have different colours: services in one colour, youth in another, room hire in a third. In Hubb, colour is set per group, so every event in a group shares its colour.
Setting a group’s calendar colour
-
Log in to your web office and select the group whose events you want to colour.
-
Open the Events tab and view the calendar by month.
-
In the calendar header, just to the left of the ‘Show:’ dropdown, click the ‘Colour:’ picker and choose a colour.
-
Hubb confirms with ‘This will update the colour of all events in this group on your website calendar.’ Tick ‘Also apply this colour to all sub-groups’ if you want their events to match.
-
Confirm. Events in this group now show in that colour on your website calendar.
Good to know
-
A small, consistent palette reads best: one colour per ministry area beats a rainbow of near-identical shades.
-
In the web office calendar, events belonging to your current group show in bold, and clicking an event from another group moves you to that group.
-
Colour is a group setting rather than a per-event one, which is another good reason to keep each event in the group it belongs to.
