Setting up the CENTRE template
Here’s how the different parts of the CENTRE template are put together, and where to edit each one.
- Setting up the logo is a fiddly one, so get in touch and send us any logo images you’d like us to use, and we’ll set it up for you.
- The top menus follow your current group structure. Adjust those groups, or set up a new set, to change the links.
- The four large images below the header are in the ‘Big Block Gallery’ media folder, shown in alphabetical order of their titles. Each image’s caption holds three fields separated by asterisks: the main block text, the button text, and a CSS background position (so the image sits correctly on any screen, especially mobiles). If you’re not sure what to put for that last one, leave it empty or use ‘center center’, or get in touch and we’ll advise. The button link is set in the ‘Link’ field.
- Optional: you can replace the top image with a video. There’ll be an article called ‘HomePage Design: Video Module’ in your top-level group (it may be sitting in the recycle bin). It contains a media player module you can point at any uploaded video, and publishing the article makes the video show. The caption and link over the video are taken from the first image it replaces (from point 3).
- The footer social media links are in the ‘Homepage Design: Footer Social Media’ article.
- On content pages, the banner image is set with the ‘Banner Image’ custom group field under group settings. Set one on the root group and inherit it down to use it as the default across the site. There’s an example in the ‘Content Page Banner Image’ media folder.
- On system pages, like the calendar and media pages, the banner comes from the ‘System Banner Gallery’ media folder. The example there is cropped a little more tightly than the banners on other content pages.
